Civil Litigation, New Hampshire

Practice Areas

At Chevalier Legal Services, PLLC, we provide the following legal services.

Litigation

We litigate a wide range of matters encountered by consumers including breach of contract claims, property disputes, consumer protection act violations, homestead claims, claims under the Real Estate Settlement Procedure Act, claims for violations of the Fair Debt Collection Act, adversary proceedings in the Bankruptcy Court and debt collection defense.

Consumer Law

We help homeowners save their homes by providing guidance on options for resolving mortgage problems.

When mortgage servicers make mistakes, we help you navigate the process to correct those mistakes. These mistakes may include failing to properly apply payments, failing to properly manage your escrow account, failing to make timely payments for taxes or insurance, imposing improper charges for forced placed insurance, charging the wrong interest rate, improper credit reporting or losing your documents.

We help homeowners resolve these problems before they spiral out of control.

We also assist consumers with debt collection defense and where creditors have violated debt collection laws.

Real Estate

We handle real estate matters, including quiet title actions, adverse possession, easement disputes, and foreclosure defense.

In New Hampshire, lenders can foreclose on your home without going to court. If the lender has broken the law, or breached the contract, the burden is on you to take steps to protect your home. You must act - before the foreclosure. The law severely limits your right to raise certain claims or defenses after the foreclosure.  You have only a limited time, so you must act quickly.

We can help you navigate your real estate problems to seek the best possible outcome.

We are ready to help you.
